Again with the pink and the shag carpet. Unfortunately, we did have to get the floor in this room refinished because the padding under the carpet had stuck to the floor. UGHHHH!!
We kept the SherwinWilliams flat Oyster Bay Wall color and semi gloss Ice Cube for the trim, replaced the sagging ceiling with bead board, installed a new ceiling fan, and OMG the floors! They turned out GORGEOUS!
I did come back after these photos were taken and install tan Roman Shades on the windows. (It is a bedroom afterall!)
The ensuite bathroom had to be completely updated. There was a shower, but I couldn't even stand up straight in it. There was no way our son was going to be able to use it and the toilet was sized for elementary school students. Plus EVERYTHING was pink.
So we moved the shower to the closet and made the existing shower a closet. Had the same Mannington flooring put down in here that mimics penny tile that we used in the kitchen and other bathroom. I was running low on green paint, so I mixed what I had left of the light green paint with the natural tan from the living room and had just enough to do the bathroom walls a sort of mint greige and used the S-W Ice Cube semi gloss for the trim.
I spray painted the door knobs and drawer pulls with Aged Bronze paint, added a new toilet, sink and faucet and replaced the light fixtures. But the beige countertop just didn't fit! What to do? Thanks to AMAZON, I found a removable "soapstone" counter contact paper.
But the shining star of this entire endeavor was the new shower!!!!! Subway tile, gray grout, and a black and white patterned floor tile along with an aged bronze rain shower head. This turned out beautiful!
