As we have embarked on this Journey for a total house remodel, we realized we couldn't have picked a Better Worse time to try to procure construction materials and discovered that it was not a good time to have anything on order that was wrong or broken. Replacements take a while too.
But we have gotten the last room complete. This room was originally a carport that was converted to a den. We leveled the floor and updated the finishes. 1980s with fake bead board paneling, faux oak fireplace, and doors that stuck cause the floor was unlevel, Track lighting, pealing lineoleum, it was a depressing room.
Now it fits with the rest of the house, and the attic access is not as visible. We stained the floors with Concrete Camoflage in Coffee & Western brown, used the Sherwin Williams paint scheme we used in the Kitchen, and I "whitewashed" the brick walls to leave exposed.
The updated screen porch and back patio are our favorites!
And last but not least, we have the gratuitous sunset shot of this place we call HOME.
As soon as those two windows that were the wrong size come in, we'll be finished with this project. Now on to the next adventure.
